The AID project is one of 97 projects approved for funding by the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia under the PRIZMA program. In the Biomedicine category, the AID project is the highest-rated project.

AID aims to provide an answer to the extent to which an adequate dietary approach can alleviate the negative effects of hormonal therapy for breast cancer (aromatase inhibitors). Over the next three years, our team of 9 scientists will investigate the connection between hormone-dependent breast cancer and lipid metabolism in the body, and how nutrition can reduce inflammation and oxidative stress in the body, thus improving both quality of life and clinical outcomes of the disease.
